I once brought my son to his Saturday sports, and outside the basketball stadium, there was a banner hanging from the ceiling that read, "BE THE SENIOR YOU NEEDED WHEN YOU WERE A JUNIOR".
This applies to school life and certainly to our daily work lives. With my new role, I'm reminded of the importance of true mentorship. It's not just about guiding but about being the support system we once needed. It's about patience, empathy, understanding, and offering a helping hand and an ear to listen. It's about how to show up and be there for others.
Let's all strive to be the mentors we once wished for.
