Day 162 of 1095: A Mentally Tough Day

Day 162 of 1095: A Mentally Tough Day

Today is one of those days. The kind that starts in the early morning darkness, burdened with the weight of ongoing war and continues with harsh, unrelenting news. The type of day that saps your energy, leaving you bone-tired and emotionally drained. A day when you feel the overwhelming urge to cry, to release the pent-up pain and frustration.

The Weight of the World

This morning, I found myself awake before dawn, grappling with issues related to an intense struggle—one that has implications far beyond the business realm. It's a war that touches every part of my being and tests my mental fortitude daily. From dealing with the harsh realities of the world to facing personal and professional setbacks, it felt like everything was conspiring against me.

The day unfolded with a series of difficult news, each piece more daunting than the last. The kind of news that makes you question why you’re even trying, why you’re putting in all this effort when everything seems so hopelessly insurmountable. Energy levels plummeted, and exhaustion reached its peak. I felt as though I was wading through quicksand, with each step harder than the one before.

What Do You Do on Days Like This?

On days like today, there’s a natural tendency to fight against the tide, to get frustrated with the lack of progress, and to take failures personally. But I’ve learned something crucial through my entrepreneurial journey and life's many challenges.

Instead of resisting the pain and sorrow, sometimes it’s necessary to acknowledge it. To take a moment and wrap your arms around the sadness and hurt. Understand that these days are a part of life and, indeed, a part of the startup grind. It’s okay to feel down; it’s okay to be vulnerable.

Finding Resilience in Acceptance

In the startup world, as in life, not every day will be a victory. There will be days when nothing seems to go right, when the weight of your responsibilities feels too heavy to bear. But it’s in these moments of struggle that we find our true strength.

Allow yourself the grace to experience these emotions. Rather than pushing them aside or fighting them, accept them as part of your human experience. This acceptance can be liberating, providing a sense of peace amid the chaos.

Looking Forward

If you’re going through a tough time, professionally or personally, know that you’re not alone. It’s okay to have days when you feel like you're barely holding on. What matters is that we continue to move forward, even if only by a small step.

Until Tomorrow

For today, this is where my story ends. I’m praying for better days ahead, for myself and for everyone facing their battles. Remember, resilience isn’t about never falling; it’s about getting back up every time you do.

Be kind to yourself, give yourself the space to feel, and keep moving forward.
