In the last few days, I’ve been grappling with pain due to an injury. It’s never pleasant, and the body's healing process can be grueling. Pain in our lives is something we often try to avoid. Entire industries have been built around this, generating almost infinite revenue.
But how do we really cope with pain? This isn’t just about physical discomfort. It's about the emotional and psychological toll that comes with it. For me, each day is a new challenge, a test of resilience and patience.
The Reality of Pain
Pain is an unavoidable part of life. Whether it's the sting of a physical injury, the ache of a broken heart, or the stress of a significant project at work, we all face it. But pain also has a way of teaching us profound lessons, ones that we might not learn otherwise.
Understanding the Journey
Pain forces us to slow down, to reconsider our priorities, and to find strength within ourselves. In my personal experience, dealing with pain has made me more empathetic and patient—not just with myself, but with others. It’s a humbling reminder of our vulnerabilities and the power of healing.

Seeking Solutions
Of course, dealing with pain isn’t just about enduring it. It’s about finding solutions and strategies that help mitigate it. For some, it might be physical therapy or medication; for others, it might be mindfulness practices or support from friends and family. The key is to find what works for you and stick with it.
How Do You Cope?
I’m curious to know how you deal with pain. What are your go-to strategies? Do you rely on professional help, or do you have personal rituals that get you through tough times? Share your thoughts and experiences.
Pain is a shared human experience, and by discussing it openly, we can find solace and strength in one another.
Until next time,
Eliav.

7 个月How to cope with pain? You may want to consider changing your mindset in various ways: - In the west, when there is a problem, you tend to blame the other and also look for the solution outside. Try introspecting: stop and reflect - The connection between physical pain and emotional-psychological toll: you can feel pain but you do not need to suffer. Zen meditations and others can take you there. - There is this way of looking at things: "good thing, bad thing, who knows?". No need to judge, just observe. - Your body is holy: respect it and "listen" to your body, to the various signs (of pain) that are emitting. Trust those signs, the knowledge comes from within, as Rumi wrote so nicely: Two Kinds of Intelligence There are two kinds of intelligence: one acquired, as a child in school memorizes facts and concepts from books and from what the teacher says, (...) With such intelligence you rise in the world. (...) There is another kind of tablet, one already completed and preserved inside you. A spring overflowing its springbox. A freshness in the center of the chest. (...) This second knowing is a fountainhead from within you, moving out. Enjoy the journey
