Day 141 - In leadership, doing is bigger than talking (1,000 days content creation challenge)

?I heard Christiano Ronaldo being asked as to whether he talks to young players a lot and he stated that he prefers to lead by example and not talking. That was an impressive observation in a sense that in leadership most times it's about talking rather than doing things.

But the loudest and most compelling voice is the example you set. Your actions. What people see you doing is more important than what people hear you saying. Your actions are a reflection of your beliefs and thought process. Your lips are the least convincing.

That means that next time before you and I open our mouths to give instructions and directives, we should ask ourselves…

Am I already setting a good example in the area I Am demanding results?

If you are not already setting a good example, ask instead - "How can I set a good example in order to set the pace?

Once you know and acknowledge the power of example or doing the right things, then, you will push yourself to the limit to create results first in your own life or space before demanding for the same results from others.

Once that is done, then, your example will be instructive enough. Your example will take over the leadership. Your example will become a reference point. In fact even without you talking, people will be talking about you and their conversation about you will become self-hypnosis for desired results.

So, what will you do today and beyond to lead your team to higher levels?
