ALMANACK OF NAVAL RAVIKANT | A GUIDE TO WEALTH AND HAPPINESS (Author, Eric Jorgenson)
(Review By: Daizy Patel )
FIND WORK THAT FEELS LIKE PLAY (contd.)
Is money the root of all evil?
Naval says:
"There’s nothing evil about it. But the lust for money is bad. The lust for money is not bad in a social sense. It’s not bad in the sense of “you’re a bad person for lusting for money.” It’s bad for you."
Naval explains that you would only desire more if you lust for money?and develop paranoia and a dread of losing what you already have.
He offers a solution:
"You make money to solve your money and material problems. I think the best way to stay away from this constant love of money is to not upgrade your lifestyle as you make money."
It will also help if you choose to be more concerned with freedom—for example, the freedom to do what one pleases.
Naval concludes:
"To the extent money buys freedom, it’s great. But to the extent it makes me less free, which it definitely does at some level as well, I don’t like it."

LINCHPIN: ARE YOU INDISPENSABLE? (Author, Seth Godin)

BEING REMARKABLE
Being "Remarkable" is about?
1) Standing Out / Being Unique
2) Emotional Labor
3) Create art / any work that people care deeply about.
In this hustle-bustle of life, we often lose track of our unique ideas and causes that we deeply care about.
As I see it, this is about CHOOSING and putting projects we deeply care about on the top of our priority list.
That is what the next section is about: THINKING ABOUT YOUR CHOICE.
