March will begin on Friday and spring is right around the corner. The 5-Day Self Care Challenge seemed like a great way to kick off spring and the weather cooperated. In Tennessee, they're having 70 degree weather. And in Rhode Island, we're having 50 degrees?
Your journey throughout this upcoming year is very important. When you set intentions that guide you along your path throughout the year, you want to be setting yourself up for success and setting yourself up for a meaningful year. Self care needs to be part of that plan.
Many women at mid-life have the feeling that something is missing. You have a great life. You're very comfortable. You're happy with your spouse, but there's still something missing.
Sometimes you even feel a little guilty about that “something is missing” feeling. You might feel ungrateful.
What I know to be true, is that you every one of you, has a great energy and a meaningful power within you. That was given to you through grace and you are supposed to share that light and that energy with the world. But only you have the power to release that energy. Only you can make that magic happen.
So I'm wondering if you ever ask yourself questions like, What do I want? Who do I want to learn from? How can I feel fulfilled? And do you ever think about what creativity feeds your soul??
Because when you ignore these questions, and you ignore your important role in life, and you ignore those parts of yourself, the result is you can feel frustrated, lonely, bored, stuck, or probably the worst one is numb. You might just really not feeling anything.?
You've worked your whole life to get right where you are, right now, and something's missing. And maybe that is self care that's missing.?
Do you ever say to yourself, I love my life, but…?”?
I believe 2024 can be your biggest year of growth , meaning purpose, impact spiritual awakening and it may be the biggest year of your contribution back to society ever.?
There's an extensive study done in the US that said the most productive age and the human life is 60 to 70 years of age.?
The second most productive time in your life is 70 to 80.?
And the third most productive stage is 50 to 60 years of age. That's the stage I'm in right now.?
Isn't this exciting??
The best is yet to come!?
It’s certainly not what we thought when we were in our 20s!
The tip or habit that I'm sharing with you on Day 1 is all about your worth and how you value yourself.?
Some of us have been at home moms, some have had amazing careers. Some of us have lived a really sweet small town life that is everything that we ever dreamed of. And many of us have also had hardships, tough things that have happened in our life.?
And maybe we're hurting like hell right now. Maybe you are, maybe you have in the past, but we all have hardships in our life.?
So if the best is yet to come, then we have to prepare our hearts, our minds and our souls. We have to love ourselves so that what we are giving to the world is full of beautiful energy and not negative lost confused energy.?

This week, we're going to put that into practice using this new habit of loving yourself.?
Some of you have the negative voices playing in your head, and maybe you’re feeling like you're not enough. It’s just not true and I have some good news for you.
That feeling that something is missing is actually really good news. That feeling means you are in touch with your soul. And your soul is telling you that there's more to life. If you're feeling that, it's your soul talking to you. And that means it is a sacred truth. Your soul is saying there is more and it should not be ignored.
My friend Faith, is one of the wise women I interviewed for my book, The Swipe Right Effect, The Power to Get Unstuck. She said to me,?
“So be grateful for those hard moments, because they've made you who you are. And when you figure out that you are enough, and that you're not just enough, you're pretty great. It's all worth it.”?
It's important to say - this does not mean there's something wrong with your life. There is nothing wrong with your life. It just means there's more to come. There's more to be had. But you have to get it for yourself.
And once you begin to listen to your soul, and you start taking action and creating habits that feed your soul,
So you choose.
You choose to steer your life or ride the wave in someone else's story. The desire to be an active participant in your life means that you are controlling the narrative. You are the leading lady!?
You have a life to live, you have a purpose in this world, and a head and a heart full of dreams. No matter what has happened in the past, you are the hero of your own story.
And the best is yet to come.?
So over the next 24 hours, I challenge you to start a new habit . Every time you see your reflection, whether it be in the mirror when you're washing your hands, or seeing your reflection in the car window as you get in the car, or the rear view mirror, or when you're walking down the street and see yourself in someone else's window, you are to form the response, “I love you” or “you are enough.”?
One of my clients said the first time she did this, she started crying. When she first tried to say I love you to herself, she realized that she was struggling. It was scary and sad for her but she didn't give up. She said it again and again and it eventually became a natural response to seeing herself.?
This is a small habit but it has big impact. So for 24 hours, every time you see yourself!?
Don't say “oh, those wrinkles.” “Oh, those bags under my eyes.” “Oh, the gray hair.”?
You say, I love you. You are enough. You are loved.?
You are all these things.
