Who Are Your Top Competitors on LinkedIn? How to Find Them and Why It Matters

Welcome to Day 1 of the LinkedIn Edge Challenge!

Today’s goal is to pinpoint the key players in your industry who are vying for the same audience’s attention. Knowing who these competitors are is the first step in gaining insights that can give you an edge.

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Define Your Competitors: Think about who shares your target audience. Competitors can be direct (offering similar products or services) or indirect (influencers and thought leaders in your industry).
  2. Use LinkedIn Search: Go to LinkedIn’s search bar, type relevant keywords for your industry, and filter results by people and companies. Use filters like location, industry, and connection level to narrow down your search.
  3. Save Competitor Profiles: As you find competitors, follow their profiles and companies to keep tabs on their activities and updates.

Identify at least five competitors and list each one’s key attributes—follower count, posting frequency, and engagement level. This initial list will form the foundation of your LinkedIn Edge analysis.
