Welcome to the first edition of my Destination Spotlight Newsletter! After years of travelling the world and discovering incredible event destinations, I decided it's time to share some of my favourite finds with you.

As I write this, I’m returning from Davos, Switzerland, where I attended the Break The Ice Forum and uncovered fantastic event venues and vendors. It’s not my first time in Davos—I was last there in November exploring it as a ski incentive destination. So, for this first edition, let's shine a spotlight on Davos!

Davos, is situated in the stunning Swiss Alps, and is great for both corporate events and incentive travel. Davos is most known for hosting the World Economic Forum, and as a result of this the destination offers excellent infrastructure and luxurious venues that are ideal for corporate events large and small, just remember to avoid the week of the WEF when prices are through the roof and availability is scarce. . Whether it's skiing in winter or e-biking in summer, Davos also provides unique team-building and incentive experiences in a breathtaking setting.

Davos is a 2-hour drive from Zurich airport, making it easily accessible for international traveler's from both Europe and North America. It is also accessible by an incredibly scenic train route form the Airport and from Zurich HB meaning it's possible to travel by train to the destination from the DACH regions.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Hard Rock Hotel Davos last November for a ski incentive trip, and it didn’t disappoint! This modern hotel is bursting with energy, and I think it’s the perfect fit for younger crowds. In true Hard Rock style, there’s plenty of fun, music-themed décor and activities integrated throughout the hotel, making it a lively and dynamic spot for any corporate event or incentive trip. Alpen Gold Hotel

I’ve just returned from Alpen Gold after attending the Break The Ice Forum, and this hotel truly lives up to its five-star reputation. It’s perfect for high-end clients looking for a luxurious experience. I was especially impressed with the spacious bedrooms and the balconies offering stunning views of the mountains. And the spa? Absolutely incredible—a real treat after a day of events!

If you’re looking to secure venues, especially for a winter event, make sure to book early to avoid disappointment. For quieter periods, late spring and early autumn offer a more relaxed atmosphere.
2. Ski & Après-Ski Fun: For winter incentives, nothing beats a day on the slopes followed by a cozy après-ski. Organise a fun ski race for a bit of team competition, then unwind at one of Davos’ fantastic après-ski spots—perfect for bonding and networking after an active day.
3. Summer Adventure: In summer, Davos becomes an outdoor playground. I love recommending group hikes that lead to a mountaintop lunch. It’s a great way to combine adventure with team-building while taking in the breathtaking views.
