DaVinci Cares Employee Assistance Program Provides Grants and Hosts Events that Foster Employee Well Being
Last week, September 5-9, was Construction Suicide Prevention Week, and employee-owned DaVinci Sign Systems, Inc., participated and earned a badge and certificate for helping foster a positive environment for mental health for its workforce.
This is not the only time DaVinci Sign Systems has invested in its workers’ happiness.?In 2021, DaVinci instituted an employee assistance program (EAP) named the DaVinci Cares initiative to provide short-term assistance and support to those employees who are suffering from adverse events, emergencies, health issues, property damage, or loss.
A 3-person committee oversees and manages the program, and it meets quarterly and when an application is made for specific assistance.?An Employee Advocate speaker (Garrett Winston) is DaVinci’s outlet for any employee suggestions, and he was voted in by the employees.?The company donated the initial $5,000 seed money to start the program.?After this, the effort will be entirely employee-funded.?The standard auto-draft is only $10 per paycheck.???
So far, DaVinci Cares EAP has hosted a safety bowling event, annual Christmas parties, and the Horsetooth Reservoir BBQ and jet ski party.?Shown in the top photo are, from left to right, Brittany Renteria/Danny Salas, Jess Potter/Garrett Winston, and Todd Linder/Audrey Richardson.?DaVinci also occasionally grills burgers and hot dogs on Fridays, and a rotating half-day Friday work schedule, and has fully stocked snack stations for all DaVinci employees.
