David's Weekend Fun Tip
Typically, this year’s 12th annual San Antonio Historic Home Fair would take place at the Pearl Stables, however this year they will be bringing it to you virtually! This fun and informative event takes place tomorrow from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm and is free. Information about the event can be found at https://www.sarehabberclub.com/hhf
The next event, the first Indigenous Online Film Festival started on August 31 and runs through October. These are films you may not see anywhere else made by Indigenous filmmakers from around the world. This is a free event as well! For more information go to https://visionmakermedia.org/online-filmfest/
Lastly, if you are looking for a fun new craft that you and the kids could do at home, you can make some fun things for everyday use. I am talking about crochet! I share this because our daughter dragged us to Jo Ann fabric to get her the items to do this! This is something you may remember your mother or grandmother doing and now it is back in style with the younger generation. Maybe a phone or tablet case? Washcloth or potholder? With the fall and winter season right around the corner, this is a great time to learn how to crochet and make yourself a beanie or scarf! I found a site that offers free crochet patterns as well as instructions on how to make them. Have a great weekend!
