David Lloyd - My Second Home !
I have been a member of David Lloyd at Corstorphine in Edinburgh since 2003. I recognise the need to get the Work/Life balance right and the positive effect that being a member of David Lloyd has had on my life. Since Covid lockdown peoples attitude to work and work patterns have changed drastically many people electing to work from home several days a week instead of going into the office.
On a personal level I couldn't bear working from home every day staring at four walls so I elect to visit my club at Corstorphine most mornings, have a swim, play tennis, pickleball or have a workout in the gym and very much welcome the opportunity to catch up with my friends over a coffee sitting in the Club Lounge our out on the Sun Terrace.
To me David Lloyd is much more than a health club it is a lifestyle club.
Last summer I was asked to photograph the new David Lloyd club at Shawfair in Edinburgh. Spending as much time at David Lloyd as I do I new exactly the approach I wanted to take photographing the great facilities that this new club has to offer.
I have put together a short video presentation using a selection of the images that I captured at Shawfair. Please click on the link below.

4 个月Superb video Paul. If this doesn’t sell the benefits of the new David Lloyd club at Shawfair then nothing will. I also saw your recent photographs of the new Edinburgh Futures Institute, in the old Royal Infirmary Building and I hope to visit it soon. It looks spectacular. Finally, on the back of the great photography work you did recently for Sugo in Glasgow I did visit just last week and I wasn’t disappointed. Superb pasta and the venue lived up to the photography and video you posted. See you at DL Corstorphine soon. G
