David Friend joins Bitfount as Head of Business Development

We are excited to announce that David Friend has joined Bitfount as our Head of Business Development. David will be responsible for defining and owning the company’s commercial strategy, working to expand Bitfount’s footprint in the AI-driven healthcare and clinical trial space. His mission is clear: to position Bitfount as a leader in leveraging AI to transform how clinical data is utilised, ensuring clinical trials are both practical and efficient while safeguarding the privacy of that data.

With a career spanning over 25 years in life sciences, David has worked on all sides of the table. From running clinical trials himself to partnering with Sponsors, Contract Research Organisations (CROs) and technology companies, he has focussed on accelerating clinical trials and advancing new treatments for diseases that impact millions of lives. He is a strong advocate of using technology to push the boundaries of clinical research and deliver life-saving therapies faster.
