Davera Gabriel joins Evidentli

Big news from Evidentli!

Today we're excited to announce that Davera Gabriel, RN FHL7 FAMIA has joined Evidentli as our Director of Client Success.?

Davera brings 30 years of industry leadership in health informatics and health data to Evidentli. Most recently she was the Director for Terminology Management at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and over the course of her distinguished career as a nurse informatician she has supported a wide array of multi-site implementations of information technology, terminologies, and data standards in human and population health research. Throughout her career, Davera has worked with numerous clinical and technical teams, consistently achieving cutting-edge advances in informatics and bringing those timely visions to fruition.?

Davera is widely recognised as one of the world's leaders in accelerating the evolution of healthcare data standards. Key contributions to the field include serving as the inaugural chair of the HL7 Terminology Services Management Group, co-lead the OHDSI OMOP + FHIR Working Group, and as a participant in the National COVID Cohort Collaborative (N3C) where she led the data model ingestion alignment supporting the world's largest and most complex clinical dataset on OMOP.?

Over the course of her career she has participated in many firsts in the world of informatics including the first implementation of the first commercial integrated data repository and deployment of SNOMED CT by a major EMR vendor.? She led the first data standards group supporting the first CTSAs, led the data harmonization effort?in the first federated implementation of i2b2, and helped build the first system linking all 5 University of California health systems’ EMR data for translational research. Notable other contributions include foundations for much derivative work: co-author of the first HL7 Continuity of Care Document specification; co-author of the first HL7 Common Terminology Services 2 FSM; and a contributor to chapters in the NIH Collaboratory Rethinking Clinical Trials: A Living Textbook of Pragmatic Clinical Trials. ??

After serving on Evidentli's Scientific Advisory Board for the past year and a half, we're thrilled that Davera has chosen to join us full time and work alongside our customers to help bring their visions of next generation translational research and innovation to life.
