Dave Nixon - Gold Scammer

So I get contacted by Dave Nixon (not his real name obviously) and immediately shun his request to connect and inform him I do not deal with gold scammers. Here is his message and you might be able to see why I immediately rejected him:

Hello Spencer,

I'm Dave Nixon from Nairobi Kenya, Marketing Coordinator at Bluestel Services. We have 50Kg of pure Gold from Congo and is stored in Uganda due to the challenges that the current gold trade have in Nairobi Kenya.

We are looking for a potential long term buyer.

If you are interested please contact me back go get adequate details about the product in the below addresses;

(Doesn't take a rocket scientist to work this one out).

Dave like most scammers doesn't take no for an answer even one as blatant as mine! He then proceeds to send me the attached Certificate of Ownership below.

After a very quick Google I can see his weak attempt at a scam and forward his invoice along with his company details to the SADC the organisation he claims has issued the said document.

SADC already published a warning online for others to see called "Fraudulent SADC Ownership Certificate" Document"

Where is completely disclaims issuing such a document, I'd like ot see more initiatives like this as it gives the unsuspecting general public a heads up.

This notice serves to warn business people and companies of a fraudulent "SADC Ownership Certificate" document being issued by unknown persons for a fee in the name of SADC in respect of mineral exports.

So all you Gold Scammers out there don't be like Dave, you need to up your game and don't be so dumb because we will continue to call you out on LinkedIn! Dave has now made it into the hall of fame!
