Other performers include Pharrell Williams, Justin Timberlake, Chris Stapleton, Ariana Grande, Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes, the Roots and Cage the Elephant.
The announcement comes just weeks after a woman was killed protesting a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, where the Dave Matthews Band was formed in 1991, in mid-August.
The concert is free but the press release encourages attendees to donate to the “Concert for Charlottesville Fund” at the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation, which will benefit victims and their families, first responders and “organizations devoted to the promotion of healing, unity and justice locally and nationwide.”
Charlottesville residents will be given priority for tickets, as will UVA students, faculty and staff.
