The explosion in interest in AI, particularly generative AI, has had many positive benefits: increased productivity, easier and faster access to information, and often a better user experience in applications that have embedded AI chatbots. But for all its positives, there is one huge problem that still needs solving: how do we power it all??

Arcade, a new AI product creation platform, designed this necklace

Mariam Naficy, founder of Arcade AI, launched a generative AI marketplace that empowers users to design custom jewellery. Users, called "Dreamers," input ideas to generate designs, which artisans then create. While some designs face challenges, an editing tool allows users to refine concepts. Prices range from $100 to over $1,000, depending on complexity and materials.?

Meta releases an 'open' version of Google's podcast generator

Meta has released an “open” implementation of the viral generate-a-podcast feature in Google’s NotebookLM. Called NotebookLlama, the project uses Meta’s own Llama models for much of the processing, unsurprisingly. Like NotebookLM, it can generate back-and-forth, podcast-style digests of text files uploaded to it.

YouTube brings its affiliate program to India, partners with Flipkart

Just ahead of the local festive season, YouTube has brought its affiliate program to India, letting uploaders tag products in their videos and earn referrals. The company is partnering with Walmart-owned e-commerce service Flipkart and fashion retailer Myntra to open up their product catalogues to uploaders.
