Dataclairian Psychotherapy via Updating Website
And what happened when I learned that we have trumpet player, culture nerd and trekking poles advocate in the team.
Over the past few months, the Dataclairian family went through 3 “cha”. And I don’t mean tea sessions here, even though it was almost as contemplative as a drinking cup of fukamushi.??
It was a time of many?changes,?challenges, and?chances to pull together and become more united in our mission truly. New forces joined our team, which demanded updating the?Who we are?section on the web. Surprisingly, it showed up to be a kind of spontaneous therapy that revealed a lot about Dataclair culture and atmosphere.?
Let me explain.?
We have always been a bit negligent of marketing ourselves.?
The need for updating our team overview on the website was obvious, but how do we do it? We have awesome people in Dataclair, and that goes for the whole family, not just for those displayed in the front row on the web. The thing was that nobody wanted to talk big about themselves.??
The game is on.
So, we played a game. Instead of letting people write their bio themselves, our copywriter asked the team members to anonymously describe how they perceive their colleagues - what are their strengths, why do they trust them, how to make them angry or happy, what they love and hate, and what stories accompany them.???
All reactions, fragments and sidelights were then put together into a complex image of each therapy participant.?

We ended up touched and proud.
It was fun to do both parts. I highly recommend to give it a try with your team as well. Thinking and talking freely about people you spent so much time with made us realize how much we have already experienced together. Sure, there were bumps on the road, but it was not bad at all. The second part – reading your own profile based on what people think about you, made many of us turn red, touched, and proud at the same time.?
Are we just a bunch of guys boasting about themselves?
In the end, we weren’t sure whether it was appropriate to publish it at all. What will people think about us? Are we just a bunch of guys boasting about themselves? Maybe, but we are going to publish it anyway.?
Because…?
It is not about the people and their skills. It is about their relationships and the atmosphere they created.
I cannot count how many times I have doubted about my leadership (still do), how many times I’ve been worried whether we will be able to achieve the harmony and synergy needed for pursuing Dataclair mission and deliver what we have pledged for.??
However, when I went through the team's new profiles, I realized that it is not just about the people. It is about their relationships and the atmosphere they created in Dataclair. And it made me calm and more confident that this group of people who pay attention to each other, tease each other gently and respect and value each other can indeed accomplish anything they assign for. So, of course, I am happy and proud they decided to assign for Dataclair.?
