DATAcated Circle Launch ??

On October 18th, 2021 we created the DATAcated Circle - a place for data professionals across the globe to engage and learn together. Members from various industries and at all different levels have decided to give this community a chance.

The next day (after building the community site), we started inviting a few of our data friends into the circle: Scott Taylor, George Firican, Susan Walsh, Ravit Jain, Andrew Jones, Avery Smith, and Harpreet Sahota were the first few members to join.

A few days after that - we sent an email to the individuals on the waitlist for the community. The engagement started to really grow and members started having discussions on various data topics, sharing book recommendations, posting about upcoming events, and job opportunities.

We now have 381 members in there and I AM SO EXCITED to welcome everyone into the circle :)

Members in the community are able to earn 'member badges' - here are some examples:

• ????SPEAKER: Anyone who has presented at a DATAcated Conference or was a guest on the DATAcated Show earns this coveted badge.
• ??PIONEER: The pioneer badge (OG) is provided only to the first 1,000 members that join the DATAcated Circle.
• ?? MEMBER OF THE MONTH: The member of the month badge demonstrates that an individual went above and beyond to engage with the DATAcated community that month.

We actually JUST announced our very first Member of the Month for October 2021 - Avery Smith! There's an interview with Avery in the "Announcements" section in the community that you should check out!

FEEDBACK: I would love any feedback from members or non-members on 'building and growing a thriving community'. I want everyone to feel welcome - the vision is to have this be THE BEST and most comprehensive group of data professionals. Numeric goal is to have 10,000 members in the community by end of 2021.
