Yes, even with EU in the title, this will still apply to you, the business owner. You simply need to read this  The EU General Data Protection Regulations.

The ‘it’ we refer too is DATA!

GDPR will tell you: Awareness grows, but the devil’s in the detail.
So just in case you didn’t pick up the prompt, 25th of May 2018 is the D Day or in fact the GDPR Day (EU General Data Protection Regulations Day), and yes it will apply to you; the business owner, to ensure that you hit the mark running. So we are giving you the heads up now. I know, as a business owner myself, there are a myriad of things that need looking at, but if you do not comply, the report attached will tell you that NON compliance could mean a fine of up to 4% of your business turnover!

It will have an effect on your HR, Sales and Marketing. It will have implications for additional managerial staff or for the smaller businesses, someone to adopt the role of manager. So please do take a little time now to read and consider the wider implications for YOU and your business. Do not think "this does not apply to me!". It is just worth a read.

Also, do not just think data as a commodity just needs to be stored, it also has to have a 'wrap' of security, and appropriate security systems and protocols at that!
