Yesterday, I shared a post on the difference between a data controller and a data processor.
Today, I will be listing the basic data requirements for your company.
Let's dive in.
The first is to collect data with consent. You can integrate the “tick box to agree” at the data collection stage.
Then create an internal data protection policy to ensure the protection of your data.
Also appoint a data privacy officer who will monitor internal compliance, offer guidance, serve as a contact point and conduct data protection impact assessment.
Finally, if your company processes up to 1000 subjects in 6 months, you must submit a soft copy of the audit to the NITDA through your appointed DPO.
Though there are more requirements, these are the basic ones. Want to know more about the data protection requirements for your company? Send a DM now!
