We ran a poll asking the internet and data enthusiasts what their biggest challenge? is when dealing with data. What is your guess? The answer wasn't "finding matching socks" or "remembering passwords" (shocking? I know):-). Nope, the real villain was... drumroll please... Complexity. It was mind-boggling, the most votes went to COMPLEXITY, a whopping 50%!

When you think of it,? data comes in all shapes and sizes, like a jumbled mess of puzzle pieces. Thus, it becomes? tough to make sense of it all, especially if it is a ? mountain of information.

However, Complexity isn't the only data demon wreaking havoc. Volume and Variety got their fair share of votes and? tied at (21%) currently . It's like trying to drink from a firehose – too much, too fast, and also too many different flavors. And let's not forget velocity got (8%) of votes. Velocity? being the speed at which data comes at you. This is ? enough to make your head spin!

Why has Complexity ? topped the challenge list? ?? To begin with:

  • Complexity: This is the intricate and convoluted nature of big data. It’s attempting to solve a giant, ever-changing puzzle!
  • Volume: This is? the? sheer amount of data.? Try? reading every book in a massive library. Can you?Overwhelming, right?
  • Variety: This refers to different types of data. Think about juggling texts, videos, images, and more all at once.
  • Velocity: This is the speed at which data comes in. Imagine ? drinking from a firehose, if you can – that’s data velocity for you!

Why Did People Vote This Way?

People found Complexity the most challenging because it is composed of? multiple aspects of big data management. Big data? involves making sense of data? all in a coherent way just as much as it is to handle large volumes or different types of data.

So, what's the deal with complexity?

If you think of? data as a giant Lego set. The Volume is how many Legos you have (a lot!), and Variety is the different colors and shapes (way too many!)
