Peak Performers is a nonprofit recruiting firm specializing in contract roles with state of Texas government agencies. We've partnered with the Employee Retirement System (ERS) to recruit for a Data Modeler II in Austin, TX.
Your tasks
- Gather business requirements and translate these into data models for the data warehouse and for agency-wide analytics
- Conduct and lead discussions with business leads and SMEs to understand and document the scope and business requirements, and translate these into the technical design
- Interface with key stakeholders to define, analyze, and deliver requirements that reflect the needs of the business, and translate to detailed design specifications
- Lead in the creation, development, implementation, configuration, maintenance, and support of data models for data marts and data warehouse
- Collaborate on the definition, development, and maintenance of standards and processes
- Proactively investigate and troubleshoot technical challenges, and provide corrective action
- Identify potential design, process and/or system changes to optimize performance, and mitigate risks
- Research, troubleshoot, and resolve data issues impacting report and data delivery
You have 7 years of experience in
- Data analysis, business analysis, or data warehousing
- Data modeling
- T-SQL, SQL management studio
- Creating technical documentation, including data dictionaries and data flow/transformation process and architecture to both business and technical audiences
- Government, health/life insurance, finance or investments
You may also have
- Advanced knowledge of applying data architecture patterns to EDW dimensional models based on business and technical requirements
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting and collaborating with developers, analysts, and business staff throughout the organization
- Experience with ERP systems (i.e. PeopleSoft, JDE, Workday, etc)
- Knowledge of star schema dimensional design principals
- Knowledge of health care claims data
Project term
Compensation: $60.00/ph (W2)
Work Location: 200 E. 18th Street, Austin. TX 78701
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM
Assignment Length: Starting Asap and continuing for 6 months (Remote while covid restrictions are in place)
