Can you compare them to me and explain to a non techie?

These are the questions I keep getting from the non-data techies and generally leaders who are good in tech world but not the data tribe. So, here we go and see if we can look at them in different dimensions or perspectives.

There are various ways one can think of and understand these 2 related but different areas.

The more we think and distinguish, the better we understand and can solve the challenges in each with right set of resources and solutions.

Use various techniques like cataloging, indexing, metadata tagging to ensure easy access and keep it wellData Engineering:?Consider setting up infrastructure for a library including building construction, systems for management, places to keep various categories, warehouse, processes for workflow and all the hard-part which doesn’t include the content of the library itself.
