Data Intellect eNews02

Intro by Steve Turner (Data Intellect CEO) :?

Welcome back to Data Intellect's eNewsletter, where insights meet innovation in every edition!???

In this instalment, I wanted to share a few themes that we are seeing play out, a new tool we have developed and where our focus is. Firstly, though I’d like to express a special thanks to our clients who recently gave us an NPS of 86 which aligned with comments is a clear endorsement of our consultants and how we engage #frictionlessconsulting??

Key themes are data, data, and more data. We are seeing the volumes grow and all predictions indicate accelerated growth again raising the importance of data quality, management, and optimisation. With the advent of AI this brings into scope again the importance of data quality and the alignment to business outcomes, as we now can introduce unstructured data into our method and tools. Do you have a clear data strategy aligned to your business drivers???

Upstream, at the earliest point possible, is where data validation should occur, ideally there is one source of truth. We have developed a tool: DIVE to help aid this step – contact us if you’d like to know more or see a demo (see below).??

Our focus continues to be on helping clients maximise business value from their technology ecosystem. The power of the ecosystem isn’t the ecosystem itself. It’s the orchestration across the ecosystem that truly drives innovation, disruption, and a business advantage. Orchestration is the connection. It helps compress the time in solving problems before anyone else does. We make a difference as we’re able to provide a range of global services to advise, design, deliver and manage solution. As part of Our Code we’re also keen on sharing and supporting the wider community. If you want a different opinion or perspective drop us a note.?

Introducing: Data Intellect Validation Engine

We are excited to announce our brand new Data Intellect Validation Engine "DIVE".

DIVE has been designed to address data quality issues specifically for kdb+ users. Unlike other tools, DIVE is fully kdb-native, ensuring compatibility and efficiency. Its validations run directly in kdb, offering a 100x speed advantage over Python equivalents. With built-in checks for data availability, missing segments, and null values, it ensures comprehensive data validation. DIVE also allows non-kdb users to construct rules easily.

If this sounds like something you or your team needs - contact our BD team at [email protected] for more information / a demo!

We love a data challenge!

Can you solve ours...?

WINNER kudos/showcase next eNews!

Click here to view our latest data challenge. The solution can be completed in any programming language. We will judge on the answer and solution and publish the winner.

Challenge Winner Kudos!

Congratulations to Rory Kemp for creating the best solution for our Data Darts Coding Challenge from eNews01!

Rory is a second year student studying Mathematics and Computer Science at Oxford University. He has been interested in array of programming languages and kdb+ for a while now, and took part in the Hackathon with Data Intellect last summer. Rory is currently doing an internship with BNP Paribas.

Well done Rory??
