Data
?Gary Titmarsh?
I help people to leverage innovative tools and teams to unlock the potential in their data and processes to shape the future of how organisations are able to boost profits and create meaningful and lasting change.
I'm quite a fan of a sexy dashboard. I've enjoyed creating a few masterpieces and been saved by unearthed learnings from many more in my time.
Clarity from Complexity.
Data for Humans.
Yes, Data tells you a lot. ... But it tells you a lot of what?
What data doesn't and cannot tell you is why.
It could tell you a bit about correlation, but does it tell you about the actual causation?
No, it doesn't. You need psychology to provide a way to complement data.
If you only know the what and you do not know the why, you may learn something that is engaging, that's a fact, but you do not definitively know what to do next. Only when you know the why of behaviour can you magnify it, amplify it, make it at scale and replicate it in different and interesting ways.
What data does is equip you with a neat framework to engage with stakeholders to crystalise an understanding of our goals, construct a plan of how to get there, and hold each other accountable for the actions required to succeed.
