Dear LinkedIn Users/Students,
Today, I'd like to discuss the most common scam in India: the data entry scam.
This article was inspired by a past error of mine. This article will assist you in avoiding data entry confusion.
So the main reason for writing this article is that, in today's world, everyone wants to make millions of dollars. As a result, everyone is looking for data entry jobs online, but they are unaware of the biggest scam behind this job.
So, in this article, I'm attempting to explain how they can dupe you into this scam.
They first try to contact you by phone or mail. Then they entice you with the promise of earning lakhs of rupees per month while sitting at home. After that, they will try to convince you to work with them. After persuading you, they start their scam plan.
First, they request government documents (such as a PAN card, an Aadhaar card, or a driving license). Then, they will send you an agreement to sign and ask you to sign it and return it by mail.
After that, they send you an ID and password via email and a link to their website.
Then they tell you that you can start working on the given link. Then they tell you to complete the task before the given time with 90% accuracy.
Then you start working with total dedication and hard work. Then you submit your final work. So you think I can relax now? You feel that you have completed your work well and on time. But this is only the first step of the scam.

Two days after you submit your work, they will notify you by email that you did not complete it with 90% accuracy. In that email, they will also inform you that the company has incurred huge losses. So you have to pay a huge registration fee to the company. You then disregard that email. After that, their lawyers contact you and say that you have violated Rules 73, 74, and 75 of the law. So they say you pay the registration fee to the company. We'll get you out of this. Then you will panic and pay. They then try to trap you even more. Now they tell you that if you don't pay the penalty fee for the overdue contract, we will send you a legal notice. Then they ask you to appear in this court, and at the same time they also send you a blank notice by mail. and keep harassing you through calls and mail until you pay. Then, they will send you a fake legal notice (summons). and will either reply to this notice or pay. and you will pay the amount. Once you have paid them, you have been duped by their scheme.
Solution,
There is only one solution to get out of the scam.
First, go to your nearest cyber crime station and file a complaint against it. Give full details about how they contacted you and show full proof of payment and notice. How do they harass you?
After filing a complaint, block their email addresses and mobile phone numbers as well. And if they call again, you can scold them.
That's It.
