V-Soft Consulting is currently seeking?Data Engineering Consultant?client in?Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.?This is a?full-time, direct hire?position?Information Technology & Services?industry.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Education and Experience ?

• 7+ years of architecting and building medium to large scale enterprise data warehouses
• Technical Experience with other market leading data platforms that exist on-premises, Azure and AWS such as Oracle, DB2, MySQL, Snowflake, and RedShift.
• Experience with relational and non-relation (NoSQL) database as well as big data systems and services
• Technical expertise and knowledge of data cleaning, wrangling, visualization and reporting, with an understanding of the best practices and the most efficient use of tools/applications to complete these tasks.
• Technical expertise building and optimizing workflows for large amounts of structured and unstructured data, including integrating data from multiple sources, data lake architecture, business intelligence pipelines using various ETL (ELT) tools and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience with real time data processing in high volume transactional environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities ?

• Proficient in data modeling, ETL development, Data warehousing and Master Data Management (MDM).
• Proficient in SQL, Python, Spark SQL, Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Analysis Services.

• Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and implement effective and scalable database solutions and models to store and retrieve organization data.
• Responsible for the architecture, modeling, design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of the ETL, procedures and structures which populate and grow our databases, data marts and tables.
• Provide direction to fellow ETL developers on solution design and implementation. Ensuring standards are being followed.
• Develop data flows that can leverage both on premise and cloud architectures.
• Work with stakeholders including the business analytics teams and IS architecture teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
• Monitor system performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting and integrating new features.
• Guide and coach staff members on standards, guidelines, best practices and adherence to set standards.
