Data driven transformation - from Highway to Mainstreet

Data driven transformation - from Highway to Mainstreet

There isn't anything more rewarding than seeing a community bi-pass the usual concerns regarding change to support a shared vision for a better future. Kingston, a highway town outside of Hobart Tasmania is the fortunate recipient of transport infrastructure funding that instead of being used just for new roads and bus shelters is catalysing an urban revolution. One that is supported wholeheartedly by the community and being promoted by local council and its elected members.

Sitting at core of the project is Place Score's Town Centre Performance and Priority data that has provided the evidence base for a multi agency approach to the restructuring of the town's movement and place hierarchy. From cars to people, from moving through to going to and staying in.

We've loved leading this project in partnership with the great team at Kingborough, who have been welcoming, open to innovation and enthusiastic about high impact city making that delivers a town with much more of the attributes that their local community values; slower, safer, greener and more social.
