Data-driven decision making for personal trainers

What if we in the fitness industry were to use one of the most potent decision-making tools that thousands of companies worldwide use daily?
Using data, then making a decision for our training clients.
Data-driven decision-making (DDDM)is defined as using facts, metrics, and data to guide strategic business decisions that align with your goals, objectives, and initiatives.
If I were to wordsmith that definition specific to the fitness industry, you could get this as a definition: Data-driven personal training (DDPT) is defined as using facts, metrics, and data that a personal trainer can use with their clients to make health, wellness, and fitness decisions that align with the client's goals, objectives, and dreams.
We all know that one could learn the facts about exercise and fitness. A wealth of information (all be it not always correct) is just a few keystrokes away using Google.
A better option would be to hire a personal trainer.
An even better option would be a personal trainer who could use your collected wearable and fitness app data to improve their workout planning for you.
This is just one straightforward concept of the powerful system I call Data-Driven Personal Training.
We, as personal trainers, need to stop trading time for money. We need to find a way to stand out from the often crowded personal training market. We need a new way to help those we have the honor to serve AND make a decent wage while doing so.
Why does DDPT work?
Check back next week here on my blog or LinkedIn articles (as we said as kids, same bat-time, same bat-channel).
