Our Client:

A new start-up company and now forming a new Data team in HK.

Job Description:

• Supervise the Data team, guiding efforts in scraping large-scale data from the internet for training and optimizing foundational models.
• Oversee the large-scale cleaning of external data to ensure its quality and suitability for model training, delivering high-quality datasets to the algorithm team.
• Build and maintain automated data update pipelines, ensuring continuous data validation and freshness.
• Collaborate closely with the algorithm team to understand their requirements and facilitate the effective transmission and application of data.
• Drive innovation within the team by implementing best practices in data management and analytics to enhance model performance.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of extensive experience in data crawling and cleaning, focusing on large-scale data operations.
• Proficient in Python, with strong skills in web requests, data security, HTML, and JavaScript.
• Experience with data warehousing, capable of managing internally generated data while efficiently scraping and processing external data.
• Strong passion for problem-solving in data engineering and statistics, coupled with self-driven motivation and excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese(Cantonese or?Mandarin)
