One lesson COVID has taught us is that the countries that were able to handle the situation better and bring it under control were those that had the data at hand to analyse, identify and contain the spread before it devastated the country besides the apparatus to manage the contagion. Today we have access to vast computing and information resources, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI), yet these technologies’ promise are not filtering deeper into mass and helping them to make better, faster decisions. But why ? These folks can better extract information and deal with real world problems whether its enforcing an intervention or process for supply chain reinforcements in retail, SOP adherence in manufacturing, care management in healthcare or capital allocation in Finance.
