It’s common knowledge for students and teachers alike, who scan the previous year exam papers to understand the recurring pattern on topics/concepts which the questions are directed too. Then using this understanding to focus more on topics/concepts which predominantly reoccur , during preparations.?
We make an attempt to use MCQ (multiple choice questions) response of students to infer the following?
We then intend to utilize the students current weak topic aspects and its priority in terms of the topics predominant occurrence in past exam questions to create a priority list of topics which the student should focus , to batter exam results.?
Student’s topic/concept understanding grading
If we are able to tag MCQ on what topics/concept its related to like illustrated below?
We would be able to understand the students concept ranking or which are those concept/topic tags which the student has fared better and which are worse??
Understanding a student’s concept understanding
We can pick a students MCQ response and understand the particular student’s strong and weak areas. And also the progress in improvement or variation in understanding of these topics
Instructor’s concept teaching efficacy
Correlating the student’s MCQ response to the instructor who imparted the teaching, we can build a profile on the instructor too, with their students strong and weak aspects.
