In simple terms, analytics is nothing but extracting useful information using the past data to plan for the future. It’s all in the name. It’s about analyzing data. The analysis process of transforming, and, finally, modelling the data. These analyses are then used in making of important decisions. Business analytics uses the big data tools as data analytics, to help make important business decisions and contribute to the overall efficiency of a company. So, while a data analyst would perform statistical analyses of an organization’s data to draw insights, a business analyst would do the same from a business standpoint.  It is actually very huge! it helps in deciding how to use the data and what models can be used to make better business decisions. While there are many models that can be used to take business decisions, business analytics assist in identification of the best possible model.

Business Analytics where we focus on business with analytics. Here the first step would be defining the business objective and based on business objective we will collect the data and analyze the data and finally we will visualize the data.

Business analytics (BA) is typically used by a set of tools that collects business data, analyses it, and then generates insights and predictions to help businesses gain high-level overviews of their enterprises. analyses data like sales figures, budget spends, employee hours, inventory and more. Then, the solution uses additional tools such as graphs, charts, and maps to help give that data context. It is the process of examining data to discover patterns that will be useful in developing strategies. In recent years, it's widely used in almost all industries. Business analytics also helps people generate insights, such as discrepancies in data or historical trends. Business analytics also help decision-makers, managers and officers make more sound and data-informed decisions. By obtaining a grand view of the business’s performance, you can gain actionable data to inform choices. Business analytics offers a way for organizations to analyze past data and utilize these data to plan for the future. 

How is it used in E-Commerce?

This insight informs better business decision-making. With eCommerce analytics, businesses can better manage all phases of inventory, from vendor management and manufacturing to pricing and delivery. It also makes it possible to detect fraud, enhance marketing, and deeply understand customer expectations. To be successful, businesses need deep insight into inventory, markets, user preferences, and buyer behavior. An eCommerce site produces data, but that data must be analyzed to gain the insight necessary to make fast business decisions that effectively move business forward.

E-commerce is the buying and selling of goods and services, over an electronic device. These business transactions occur as Business to Business (B2B), Business to Customer (B2C), Customer to Customer (C2C), Customer to Business (C2B).

The standard definition of E-commerce is a commercial transaction which is happening over the internet. E-commerce is powered by the internet, where customers can access an online store to browse through, and place orders for products or services via their own devices. Ecommerce analytics is the process of gathering data from all areas that have an impact on your online store and using this information to understand the trends and the shift in consumers' behavior to make data-driven decisions that will drive more online sales.
