Hello my #linkedinfam,
Hope everyone is great and energized!
As I continue to dive deep into the world of data and equip myself to be able to solve complex business problems, I am learning that the first and foremost step that can lead you to become a successful data-drive problem solver is "Choosing the Correct Dataset".
Now, the next question is: How do I know that the dataset I am working with is correct OR incorrect? Furthermore, to answer this question, you need to ask the following questions to understand whether the data you are working with caters to your need:
Q1. What is/are the business problem(s) I am trying to solve?
Q2. What kind of data would be required to solve the core business problem? Do I need qualitative or quantitative data, or do I need both?
Q3. Do I need primary data, or will secondary data serve my purpose?
Q4. If I need secondary data, is/are the sources of my data collection authentic and recognized?
The onus of creating attractive dashboards and building a data model with maximum accuracy is always on choosing the right data. So next time you try to create a dashboard for your #stakeholders, spend the maximum time on determining whether the respective dataset you have answers the above questions.
Stay well, stay healthy!!
