Data, 5G, Media, & You

Fun fact: 90% of the data that exists in the world that was created in the past two years, and by 2020 there will be more people with cell phones than those who have electricity where they live.

We've entered the 4th industrial revolution, which will empower a fusion of digital, physical, and biological systems. This fusion will be powered by 5G technologies, a foundational data transfer advancement that brings extremely high data speeds (eg: downloading a full HD movie in seconds) and low latency (eg: minimal delay or error in transmission).

As consumers move increasingly to mobile first entertainment experiences, consumption patterns will evolve. Companies will be able to leverage your trip data (eg: how long it'll take you to get somewhere), location (etc: high accuracy to the point of where you are and what direction you're facing), past viewing history, and outside influences (eg: current events/breaking news/past events that event specific), to serve up content that is customized (and translated in real time to many different languages) to your real time situation in life. Taking an Uber to the World Series? Here's 23 minutes of customized content for you...

Though, for this to happen, content will need to be scraped for the minutia of metadata... which is being powered by neural networks and advancements in cloud/edge computing power. Sooner than you think, your actions and circumstance (powered by AI recommendations) will drive the content you see...
