Dashing Across America To Help Feed Those In Need

TLDR:?I've begun planning an epic trek to run / walk across the entire country. On the journey, I'd love to also 'Dash Across America' along the way to empower local communities by helping feed those in need.

Realistically, I will not be able to do this 3+ month long trip on my own without the right support. I'm actively looking for a brand sponsor that genuinely believes in empowering our local communities, so reconnecting with DoorDash naturally seemed like a perfect fit to me!

‘MrBeast-like' giveaways that amplify random acts of kindness

Jimmy Donaldson , aka MrBeast, constantly supports and empowers people in both his local and online community. See how he opened up a restaurant that literally paid you to eat at it. This video is an absolute ?? home run!

MrBeast also bought everything in an entire store and gave it all away to a food shelter / pantry. I really love this video too.

As I run / walk across America...

We could do something like this?at one or more DashMart’s along this 3+ month journey across America to help promote DoorDash's brand and mission of empowering local communities.

Beast Philanthropy

I came across this video on 6/21 and then proceeded to watch 20+ hours of Mr. Beast videos in a row before throwing?this potential collaboration?together to share with MrBeast & now DoorDash too.

MrBeast Burgers ??

MrBeast ??'s is a DoorDash merchant. Hopefully they'd see value in joining in on this collaboration too.?MrBeast is the king of YouTube with over 27 billion views and over 163 million subscribers.

Personally, I think it'd be cool to surprise DoorDash customers with MrBeast ??'s, Feastables, flowers ??’s (because I built DoorDash for Flowers), and other goods and surprises in every state on the journey as we help out different food shelters / pantries along the way too. How fun would that be,?especially during the upcoming holiday & giving season!?

The Idea

I’d like to run / walk across America and provide as much value possible to DoorDash ?? & MrBeast Burgers ?? customers / fans along the way

The Route

Hours Breakdown

• 874 hours / 8 hours a day = 109 Days
• 874 hours / 10 hours a day = 87 Days
• 874 hours / 12 hours a day = 73 Days

Miles Breakdown

• 2,673 miles / 20 miles a day = 134 Days
• 2,673 miles / 25 miles a day = 107 Days
• 2,673 miles / 30 miles a day = 89 Days
• 2,673 miles / 35 miles a day = 76 Days

As you can see above, that’s the direct route. But if we wanted to make it a little bit longer we could cover these?16 states?(from west to east):

• Missouri

• Tennessee
• Mississippi
• Alabama
• Georgia
• South Carolina
• North Carolina

This would be closer to?3,000 total miles?traveled / walked (estimate).

The Value

I see an opportunity to provide value to both DoorDash and?Beast Philanthropy by:

• Helping feed those who are hungry ??
• Supporting different homeless shelters ??
• Raising money for clean water ?? projects and
• Combating the suffering of those in need throughout the entire journey

Realistically, I wouldn’t be able to accomplish this without a support vehicle like Michael Wardian,?Mike Posner?and most of the others that had accomplished this journey before me, so I’m currently looking for a sponsor — like DoorDash — that believes in empowering local communities.

Along This Journey…

I see myself as a Brand Ambassador IRL for tens of thousands of fans / customers as we raise money ?? for incredible causes that empower and help people in our local communities. I’ll wear DoorDash and / or MrBeast Merch ?? the entire trip. I'll travel across ????, get 5 ?? reviews and deliver hope to those in need.

I love the idea of delivering hope across America. I hope DoorDash loves this idea too.

I believe if MrBeast’s team decides to collaborate on this project, they’d love to help document the journey in a much more detailed way then I could / would be able to on my own. I'd think DoorDash would say the same thing too.

The Conclusion

Along the 15+ state journey, I'd love to help feed those who are hungry while promoting DoorDash / DashMarts,?if DoorDash finds value in working together.

I'm biased but I believe there's a really cool opportunity here,?especially with the holiday & giving season right around the corner.

Finally, I'm sure there are ideas that DoorDash, and maybe even MrBeast, would love to bring to the table too —?I’m completely open to collaborate and provide as much value as I can to DoorDash if there’s any interest in being a part of this journey to empower local communities across the US.

Additional Context About Me

• I’ve helped raise tens of thousands of dollars for?charity: water and other charities since 2016.
• I worked at DoorDash from 2020 - 2022, most notably on building out DoorDash for Flowers.?I helped sign up the first floral merchants on DoorDash's platform.
• I also pioneered?DoorDash Missions?while I worked for DoorDash —?even though it never became more than an idea while I was employed at DoorDash.

• I?volunteered at VeeCon 2022?and then pioneered the?viral VeeFriends VeeMinders?community initiative & movement for Gary Vaynerchuk 's NFT project VeeFriends throughout?2022. We had over 50 million impressions on social in 125+ cities around the world.
• Last month?I was invited to speak at VeeCon (Gary's Conference) alongside Tim Tebow, Arianna Huffington, Kevin Plank, Jessica Alba, Daymond John, Scott Harrison and 200+ other speakers. Gary asked me to speak about how to 'Make People Care' by building with community in mind.

After Y Combinator's denial for 'Missions' for their S2023 batch last month, I decided to go back to the drawing board to figure out how else I could scale social impact while amplifying random acts of kindness.
