The Australia bush always fascinates me and I probably spend more time wandering about the bush than anywhere else. One of my favourite locations for early morning photos is a swamp or dam some water gathers. 

Cold early mornings deliver fog, beautiful early directional light which can give interesting photographs. 

In this image of an Australian snake-necked darter sits drying its wings after an early morning swim with a couple of Little black cormorants sitting on a tree branch beside him. Such a simple image with great golden light makes for a quintessential Australian image.
