Tulfarris Hotel & Golf Resort is a luxurious four-star retreat located on the banks of Blessington Lakes, with views of the Wicklow Mountains.

The property includes a lakeside 18-hole golf course designed by Patrick J. Merrigan and an eighteenth-century manor house at the heart of the 200-acre resort.

New Dublin-Made Stout

Clockwork Velvet Stout from Changing Times Brewery is the latest stout to enter the Irish market, after being launched this week.

The team behind Changing Times says that it decided to create the drink after repeated requests from customers to bring out its own stout.

“As this demand grows, there has also been an increased interest from customers who want to move beyond the standard fare, who are looking for something new, something flavourful, which is also smooth enough to offer a sessionable appeal,” said Keith O’Brien of the Ferryman.

The new stout brings the total number of drinks offered by Changing Times Brewery to three since its launch last November, with Clockwork Velvet Stout joining its Daydreamer Lager and After Hours Pale Ale products.

Sustainable Tourism Development

Fáilte Ireland has unveiled its ambitious plans to drive sustainable tourism development across Ireland in 2025, at its annual industry briefing this week.

The event was opened by the newly appointed Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, Peter Burke TD, and watched online by over 2,000 tourism operators, providers and employers from across the sector.

The key features of the plan include supporting the sustainable and authentic development of year-round destinations throughout Ireland, highlighting the diverse tourism offerings across the country to boost domestic travel, and new plans to strengthen the business tourism sector.

Additionally, the National Tourism Development Authority has invested over €14.5 million in 11 new tourism projects, set to be completed across the country this year.

Ryanair Unveils Shannon Summer 2025 Schedule

Ryanair unveiled its Shannon Summer 2025 schedule with 26 routes this week, including one new route to Madeira.

The scedule includes increased frequencies on eight other popular routes to/from Shannon, like Alicante, Edinburgh, Faro, Kaunas, Krakow, Malaga, Porto, and Reus.

The airline also added extra seats to/from La Rochelle in April ahead of the European Rugby Champions Cup match between Munster and La Rochelle taking place in the Stade Marcel-Deflandre on Saturday, April 5.

"The vast majority of this exciting Summer 2025 schedule will operate on Ryanair’s three Shannon-based aircraft ($300m investment) and will support over 1,500 local jobs, demonstrating Ryanair’s continued commitment to invest and grow at Ireland’s regional airports," said Dara Brady, Ryanair’s chief marketing officer.
