Daring Asks + Robin Arzon

I am obsessed with Robin Arzon, Vice President of Fitness Programming and Head Instructor at Peloton.

She’s a powerful woman. She radiates confidence. Attending one of her workout classes is like getting a gym session and TED Talk and spiritual sermon all in one. 

But, Robin wasn’t always an athlete. Once upon a time, she was a corporate lawyer. But she didn’t want to continue working as an attorney. She dreamed about making a big career change. She felt like, “If I could work in the fitness industry, doing what I really love, that would be a dream come true. That would be a total miracle.”

And so, you know what she did?

She decided to stop wishing for that miracle to arrive.

She decided to take initiative and go create that miracle for herself.

So, she wrote an email to one of Peloton’s co-founders. A cold email to introduce herself and say, “Hi, I’d like to work for you.”

And you know what?

They hired her.

And her life was never the same.

People! I love this story for so many reasons. It gives me full-body chills. 

I love how Robin decided, “I know what I want. And I’m not going to sit here on my butt waiting and wishing. I’m going to take action. I’m going to email them and let’s just see what happens!”

By sending that email, Robin took charge of her life and created a miracle for herself.
