When I celebrated my most recent milestone birthday, things did not go well.?I was filled with could/shoulda/woulda thoughts. That's not like me. I'm a pretty positive guy.
The closer the big day came, the more I was filled dread and depression. This had never happened before. I was at a loss on what to do. I racked my brain for answers.
So I did what any rational 70-year old would do...I went skydiving. I got into a perfectly good plane that climbed to 12,000 ft and jumped out (with some help).
It was terrifying. It was exhilarating. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It was me giving Father Time the middle finger. It was what I needed to restore my faith in myself, my mission and my legacy.
P.S.: I'm better now.
This week's tip : Sometimes?you need a reminder of what you're capable of no matter your?status, your experience or your age. Rage against the machine - it's what makes us human.
