Dare-dreamer.

Dare-dreamer.

In the small village of Okota, there lived a boy named Oba. One day, he approached his father and boldly declared, "I want my share of the farm earnings so I can explore the world."

His father, cautious and concerned, countered, "Leaving might not be wise, Oba. Do you know what dangers lie beyond our village?"

"What dangers, father?"

His father warned, "Outside of here; Wolves in sheep's clothing will hunt you, and lions will lurk to devour you. Stay here, where we have plenty to sustain us."

Undeterred, Oba challenged, "Have you faced these dangers firsthand?"

His father confessed, "Not exactly. I once tried leaving, but the howling of wolves and the roaring of lions were enough to dissuade me."

"I must go," Oba insisted. “If I get eaten by wolves or hunted by lions, so be it. I cannot remain in this village."

His father fretted, "What if your journey proves futile? What if it's not worth the risk?"

"Father. Not knowing is precisely why I must go. Can I have my share now?"

His father refused, hoping Oba would reconsider. But Oba remained resolute. "Since I anticipated your refusal, I'll leave tomorrow at dawn. Keep my share. Farewell"

The next morning, Oba found his door locked, a desperate attempt by his father to restrain him.

Weekends passed, but Oba couldn't break free. His mother visited one morning, bringing his breakfast. "It's unwise to defy your father, even when he's wrong," she advised.

Oba promised his father the next day that he would never speak of leaving again and would never give them a reason to worry. He tended to the farm diligently, amassing wealth over the year. When he felt ready, he slipped away one night, leaving behind a farewell note.

Though angered, Oba's father couldn't help but admire his son's bravery.
