Dare to Dream – This was a song performed by Australian royalty Olivia Newton – John & John Farnham at the Olympic games opening in 2000.
A great song about backing yourself, about stepping outside your comfort zone and aiming to be the best you can and achieving the gold and, having a great time doing it.
This is especially true with real estate. Yes, it’s a numbers game that’s drilled into you from your first day on the job. You remember it don’t you. Sales are down you need to make more calls, appraisals down, more calls, you want to go away on holidays – more calls.
Keep in mind that while you are sitting there smashing out let’s say 100 calls per day, within a single post across all my socials & my teams we can hit close to 70,000 people. No answering machines, no catching mum trying to get the kids ready for school, or worse catching someone in the middle of a fight with their spouse. It’s 2020. Think about yourself. How often do you like hanging on the phone to a salesperson with whom you have no interest in transacting with them immediately? That’s how your recipient feels.
Letterbox drops – for the record we still believe they are worth it for branding yourself and in certain demographics, however for the most part clients these days are looking for marketing they can measure.
The beauty with social media is that we can target select people based on their online behavior and interests, as well as their friends online and market straight to people looking to buy or sell immediately – wouldn’t that be awesome.
So, what’s this got to do with the song? Time is precious. So, use the tools available in 2020 to get the job done, in the shortest amount of time, to the right people so you can spend more time out there at appointments closing deals or home with the family. Step outside of your comfort and reach your fullest potential. Real estate is an Olympic sport so go for gold.
