Dare To Be Different?

Like it or not we are all born a Brand! We all go through our different stages of branding in life. First you are the naughty kid at school with ADHD (which never existed when I was a kid) or you are the popular kid who everybody wants to know or that pretty girl everyone loves or you are the nerd who is so OMG sooo weird, and no one wants to be around you.
Then we get to the adult category and suddenly you realize that life is very different out in the real world. So this is where we all get labeled again, the accountant, the lawyer, the street sweeper, the blogger, the social media manager, the entrepreneur, the human mom, the furkid dad and so forth. We all go about our lives like sheep, day in and day out, just existing. But there are those who take being different and use it to stand out from the crowd and make something of their lives.
Throughout life we are constantly being judged by the sheep and criticized for being different (I have nothing against sheep by the way). I have always faced this challenge because I refuse to conform to what society deem as "normal".
We are all unique and it is your choice in how you live your life. We can take our past experiences and challenges and use them to help others or we can blend into society and help no one. Everything in life comes down to the choice of what you are going to do with your personal brand .... blend in or dare to be different?
For me being a Personal Brand Consultant gives me the freedom to be ME. It gives me the ability to help others to step out of the crowd and shine. To give them that encouragement and nudge they need to move forward and show the world who they really are.
Once upon a time long, long ago I too lived in the shadows but it was the universe who pushed me out of my comfort zone and showed me that it's okay to be different because this is where I built my authentic brand, this is where I've learnt to be apologetically ME!
In recent years the internet has changed how we run our businesses and now having a professional online presence matters more than ever. Before people do business with you they will google you, and before a recruiter considers you for that position you just applied for they will be looking at your LinkedIn profile and overall social media presence.
Your Personal Brand matters now more than ever and it's time to start taking a serious look at what you look like online before others start judging you and making up their own opinions of you before they have even met you.
SO, Do you dare to be different, surround yourself with the dreamers, the believers, the planners and the doers OR are you comfortable hanging out amongst the sheep?

5 年He’ll yes girl! Way to go I love your tenacity and conviction. It’s because your living your dream because of your passion. It shows thru your writing. I’ve been struggling with what to say in my LinkedIn BIO and format. I was in the military for 22yrs and realtor/mortgage loan officer for 19 yrs. For the last 14 months I’ve been seriously studying and taking classes on Digital Marketing. Now I’ve started my digital marketing agency and have some accounts in my niche which is mortgage loans and real estate. What I need help with is my LinkedIn page Copy and Format. I want to tell my story to my niche so they immediately know I’ve been in there shoes and that I can help them generate more customers and sales thru my internet digital marketing agency services. Any ideas am I on the wright course so to speak? Also, my focus is to market to Mortgage Brokers so I can attend their monthly office meeting and conduct a presentation on digital marketing in front of all their loan officers 7-15 people keep the classes smaller it’s a little bit more personal. I’m having fun but need some help. Make sense?
