10 October would have been the 58th birthday for Daniel Pearl (may he R.I.P.).
Had he lived- what would he have uncovered about global terrorism?
Daniel was a US born Wall Street Journalist and husband of Mariane (an Algerian French American) and son of Judea Pearl (eminent Israeli American scientist and philosopher) and Ruth Pearl (nee Rejwan an Iraqi American).
Instead of continuing his illustrious career as a Wall Street investigative journalist, Daniel was kidnapped by Wahhabi Salafi Takfiri Jihadi terrorists in Karachi Pakistan when he was only 38 (on 23 January 2002) and silenced by decapitated on video in a form or ritualistic sadism (in February 2002) that was broadcast proudly all over the world by the terrorists.?
Why was he silenced?
Danny was in search of a radical Muslim cleric El-Sheikh Syed Mubarik Ali Shah Gillani (Al-Jilani) who he suspected had some association religious fanatic and terrorist, Richard Reid?aka Abdel Rahim, who tried?to blow up midflight a jet liner from Paris to Miami by igniting a bomb in his shoe (hence his name in the media- the?‘shoe bomber’).
The investigation had it continued may have made the links between:
Instead, Danny was kidnapped by Wahhabi Salafi extremists before he could uncover the truth. One of the kidnappers, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (a co-conspirator also in the 9/11 terrorists’ murders) and still held in the US - admitted he had carried out the actual beheading on video.
Before the gruesome decapitation, his abductors at first demanded better treatment for their brother Wahhabi Salafi Jihadi’s in Guantanamo Bay, and strangely “the return of all Pakistani men being held there, and bizarrely … also called for the US to either deliver a consignment of fighter jets that had been promised to Pakistan but then halted, or return the money for them, plus interest.”?https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-55735869
The legal system in Pakistan acquitted Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh in 2020 of the murder saying they were only guilty of kidnapping.
Before this 2002 crime, Sheikh Omar was involved in kidnapping British and American tourists in India being released in 1999 exchange for passengers aboard hijacked plane to Afghanistan (during which a passenger Ripan Katyal was knifed to death by the hijackers) where the then ruling Taliban assisted his release. The horrific video tapped be-heading execution of this WSJ journalist happened in close connection with dark forces involved in both WTC attacks of 1993 and 2001 in which the Blind Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman and bin Laden group were implicated. Let us not forget why Daniel was kidnapped in Karachi and then murdered. At the time he was investigating connections between the Pakistani secret service, the ISI and Islamic militant groups in the sub-continent and in Britain (like the ‘shoe bomber’ Richard Reid).
The 2002 kidnapping and beheading of Daniel Pearle was the first major terrorist act since 9/11 and was followed by a succession of?Wahhabi Salafi Deobandi Takfiri Jihadi?atrocities all over the world including:
One wonders, had he not been silenced, how many of these Wahhabi Salafi Deobandi Takfiri Jihadi terrorist atrocities could have been thwarted.

As an act of respect for Danny’s legacy, I urge all readers to read some or all of the following books and articles I have posted in the comments below:?
?Daniel Pearl journalist wife Mariane’s book: ‘A Mighty Heart - The Daniel Pearl Story’, available in paperback, kindle and audible from Amazon. Maraine (then 6 months’ pregnant with their son Adam) spent 5 weeks in Karachi searching for Danny after he was kidnapped. During that time the Wahhabi Salafi Takfiri Jihadi’s had killed 11 Shia Muslims in acts of terrorism because they saw them as apostates and not true believers. A Mighty Heart was made into a drama film in 2007, produced by Brad Pitt and directed by Michael Winterbottom from a screenplay by John Orloff. It is based on the 2003 memoir of the same name by Mariane Pearl.
Also read “At Home in the World: Collected Writings from The Wall Street Journal” by Daniel Pearl- available in Kindle format. “celebrates Pearl's life through 50 of his best stories. Edited by his long time friend and colleague, Helene Cooper,?At Home in the World?gives testimony to Mr. Pearl's extraordinary skill as a writer and to his talent for friendship and collaboration. With datelines from the United States and abroad, the articles showcase a dogged reporter who never lost sight of the humanity behind the news. A foreword by his widow, Mariane Pearl, and a contribution by his father, Judea Pearl, celebrate his desire to change the world, his basic decency and fair-mindedness and his sense of fun and love of family…. The selections range from child beauty pageants in the South to the making of the world's largest Persian rug to the Taliban's exploitation of a gemstone market in order to fund terrorism.”?
“This is Danny Pearl’s Final Story” by colleague Asra Q. Nomani:
Also, simply?google?“Wahhabi Salafi Takfiri Jihadi?“ and read some of the articles and books of the ideology that motivates Jihadi terrorists all over the world to commit and be proud of such terrorist acts, whatever brand name or honorific they bestow upon their blood thirsty and deluded cause.?
?You'll probably then come across some of these articles:
