The Dangers of a Secret Life and the Stupidity of Comparison

Happy day after Easter/Resurrection Day!

Well, a funny thing happened in the lead up to publishing this week's newsletter - I discovered that the video I published last week covering "Freedom from Secrets, Sin, and Shame," was published in such a way as to make sure I had fewer secrets than I had before it was published! I accidentally published the raw, unedited version of the video filled with all of my outtakes, frustrations, and mistakes, and not the shorter edited cut I intended to upload. Well, the two people who saw that raw version got to see quite the cringe-worthy edition of the videos I've been publishing over the last several weeks! Haha!

Well, this morning I uploaded the edition of that video I intended for the public to see, so I hope this version is impactful for you and/or someone you know.

That said, in the video I released last week entitled "The End of Comparisons," I talked about the destructive role of comparisons in connection with knowledge devoid of love as I experienced it in my past (short-lived), academic career. I also discuss the way out of the habit of comparing ourselves among ourselves.

As for the "Freedom from Secrets, Sin, and Shame," video, I discuss the destructive power of secret sins, and the way to freedom from that power. Both videos are linked below, and the solution for both videos is related.

Finally, later this week on Saturday, April 15th, the organization I work with, Christian Business Men's Connection of Dallas-Fort Worth, will be hosting an event in Dallas called The Cowboy's Perspective. It runs from 6pm-9:15pm and at no charge includes catered food, opportunities for networking in an informal atmosphere connecting with Christian business and professional men looking to grow personally, professionally, and spiritually, and some great biblical teaching from Stan Bower, Senior Area Director of CBMC DFW. If you'd like information on how you can be registered to attend, please message me!

God bless you and have a great week!
