Professional athletes are known for their dedication to their sport. However, this dedication can sometimes lead to overtraining, which can cause severe consequences. Overtraining can result in physical and mental health issues, such as decreased performance, increased risk of injury, and mental health problems, including anxiety and depression. My aim is to examine the dangers of overtraining in professional athletes and preventive measures.
Body Overtraining syndrome is a state of chronic fatigue caused by excessive training without adequate rest and recovery time. It can lead to decreased performance, muscle soreness, and an increased risk of injury. Overtraining also negatively affects mental health, as it can cause anxiety, depression, and irritability.
One of the primary risks of overtraining is the increased chance of injury.
