Dangers of Active Measures in a Multi-Polar World: Polluting the Truth: Disarming the Lies

As I have underscored in recent weeks, the multi-polarity counter-narrative by China, Russia, et al to subvert democracy and the current international world order must be more than an agenda for regime survival, self enrichment, and?making the world less secure and more dangerous, and brutally violent as we see in Ukraine, Syria, and across the developing world in conflicts where Russia and China are propping up corrupt dictators and kleptocracies, and financing illicit economies.

Recently, Wang Yi, the head of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee, and China’s Foreign Minister visited Russia to have talks with Sergey Lavrov, Russia's Foreign Minister, to deepen cooperation between China and Russia,? and to advance their leaders' call for the formation of a multipolar?world.

For example, multi-polarity in action entails a Russian missile slamming into a cafe and grocery store in a village in northeastern Ukraine yesterday, killing 51 innocent people during a gathering to mourn a fallen Ukrainian soldier.

Russian forces continue to commit continuous war crimes in Ukraine, including rape and "widespread and systemic torture". The United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine is investigating all alleged violations and abuses of human rights, violations of international humanitarian law and related crimes in the context of Russia's aggression against Ukraine.

The Kremlin denies deliberately targeting civilians, but thousands have been killed in attacks and war crimes in the unjust war in Ukraine that have hit residential dwellings, schools, hospitals, churches, as well as energy, port, grain and other facilities.?#crimesagainsthumanity

These are the sad realities of the "multipolar world" being advanced by Russia, China, and others.

The international community must continue to work sensibly with all responsible partners to safeguard the peace and ensure security for all humanity.

The international community also must disarm the lies and the pretext and real objectives of multi-polarism being advanced by some countries and duplicitous rationale for weakening the international world order to achieve greater chaos through dangerous revancist?policies, greed crimes, and the fomenting of global insecurity and instability to aggrandize more illicit power, wealth, and dominance.
