There is a dangerous new trend at Wikipedia, where Editors are "Slanting" Articles that do not have "MainStream" views and harassing and blocking people who question this. I would urge all of you to compare topics such as Naturopathy, Chiropractic Medicine, and also the pages that teach these for example on Wikipedia and also on other online encyclopedias. There are many other examples of this. In the case of Naturopathic Medicine, and Chiropractic Medicine, for example I have found evidence that the Editors are Acting in Violation of the Injunctions of the 1987 Anti-trust suit against the AMA and are in fact Referencing the AMA in their "talk" pages. When I attempted to point this ethical lapse out, I was blocked. To the current members of the AMA, I would point out that this could just as easily happen to them and their members. I would urge all parties that donate to Wikipedia to re-evaluate their donations until this is resolved. https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/article-abstract/370078

5 年I have not done much with wikipedia lately and I have even more bizarre tales to tell but? yes it can be annoying. In dealing with fringe ideas, I thought they could indicate, as a source of information, what believers think and how to get more information. Otherwise, what will people learn about it? I guess once someone decides something is not worth knowing they try to suppress the idea.? However, if they have say a general article on say "medicine" it may be reasonable to devote most of it to the most popular types and mention 'others" in passing hopefully with citations for curious readers but without a lot of editorializing.? On the other side, the quality of the "herd" or mainstream mentality depends on how well it agrees? with evidence and ultimately the value of the results- do people get better when paying for services.? Judging evidence and outcomes can be difficult however.??
