Damn Difficult Problems

Damn Difficult Problems

I was in my apartment in Chicago. The weather outside was freezing and there were more hours of darkness than sunlight. I had just officially left the hardware startup I was working at the month before. I had a written checklist of what I needed to do that day. It was Tuesday, December 10th, 2019. On that day, I took a nights and weekends hustle and turned it into a full-time, all-in studio.

A year ago today, I launched Abstract Collective.

Reflecting now, 2020 has been a shit year for reasons that I do not need to expand on here. That did not slow us down. We hit our growth goal for the year in July 2020 and spent over 20% of our time volunteering and supporting small businesses and startups through pro bono projects.

As we close out the year and things slow down for the holiday season, we are looking ahead to 2021. We are looking for damn difficult problems that if solved will save/change/grow your business. We didn’t start Abstract Collective to solve problems that would be nice to solve, we started out to solve problems that you as a business owner *need* to solve.

SAVE - We have worked with firms that were bleeding capital to get their financials in order and reposition their firm to focus on revenue generation.

CHANGE - We have helped firms pivot to new marketing/sales channels, new business models, and say “no” to the efforts that are not working to change their trajectory.

GROW - We have enabled firms to double their monthly revenue, raise growth capital to take on ambitious projects, and expand to new cities/countries/continents.

If you are a business owner looking to make the most out of 2021, message me on LinkedIn or drop us a line at [email protected]

Thanks, Max, for assisting with the Amazon rollout of our Crazy Dad’s specialty cat food and cook spatulas/ scrapers. People are finding them, buying them, and loving them!
