Really happy to see my old boss Louise Casey made a Dame in the latest Honours List. Never afraid to be controversial (as we found when she moved from Deputy Director at Shelter to become the Homelessness Czar) but deeply passionate about peoples' rights and fighting to address inequality and injustice. Also just about remember her fabulous leaving do when she left Shelter which people remembered with the comment "we were all in the gutter but some of us were staring at the Czar".
